The Best Thing that Ever Happened to Me

Write a story about the best thing that ever happened to you. Begin your story with, "Let me tell you about the best thingthat ever happened to me."

These are some things you can think about when you are writing your story:
  • What happened?
  • When did this happen?
  • Was anyone with you when it happened? Who?
  • Why did this happen?
  • Where did this happen?
  • How did this event make you feel?
  • Do you think anything like this will ever happen again?

  • Make sure your story makes sense.
  • Make sure your story has a clear beginning, middle, and end.
  • The people who read your story will only know what you write about and not what you are thinking. Make sure you tell the reader everything you want them to know.
  • Make sure you use a variety of interesting word choices and complete sentences.
  • Make sure you correct any spelling, capitalization, and punctuation mistakes.
  • You may illustrate your story when you have completed your final draft.
